Your problem doesn't fit
a product. We build it.
Custom Builds & Integration is full-service bespoke engineering for organizations that have reviewed every off-the-shelf option and found the gap. Custom platforms, AI pipelines, and integrations built to your exact specification — from discovery through code handover.
Off-the-shelf tools are built
for the average problem.
Yours isn't average.
The software market is optimized for the median use case. Every product on the market was designed around a pattern of common problems, then packaged for the broadest possible customer base. If your problem fits that pattern, off-the-shelf works. If it doesn't, you spend more time working around the software than you do working with it.
The signs are recognizable. You're using three tools where one should do the job. You have a team member whose main job is moving data between systems that should talk to each other. You've tried two AI vendors for the same problem and neither can handle your specific data structure. You have a workflow that's partly automated and partly a spreadsheet because nothing can do both.
Custom Builds & Integration is built for this situation. It is not a product. It is not a template. It is full-service engineering against your exact problem, scoped before anything is built, delivered with full code ownership, and designed to be maintained by your team without a dependency on ours.
This is also distinct from our marketplace tools. Marketplace is self-serve — off-the-shelf components you can configure. Custom Builds is bespoke engineering when the components don't exist.
Six types of custom builds.
All from a blank scope.
These are the categories of custom work we most commonly build. If your problem doesn't fit any of them, that's fine — the discovery process exists specifically for problems that don't fit categories.
Five phases from
scope to handover.
Every custom build engagement follows the same five-phase structure. The phases are fixed. The scope inside each phase is completely custom. Nothing proceeds to the next phase until the current phase has been reviewed and approved.
This isn't a bureaucratic process. It exists because the most expensive thing in software engineering is building the wrong thing and discovering it late. Every phase exists to reduce the cost of changing direction — and to ensure that what's delivered at the end is what was agreed at the beginning.
Timeline varies by scope. Simple integrations can complete in 4–6 weeks. Complex platform builds typically run 12–20 weeks. We establish the timeline during discovery, after we understand the actual problem — not before.
When your build needs
to be intelligent.
Some custom builds are platforms or integrations — engineered software that solves a structural problem. Others need AI capabilities baked in from the start: decision logic that adapts to new data, workflows that trigger based on detected patterns, intelligence that compounds over time.
For custom builds that require AI, we deploy MSIL as the intelligence layer within your custom platform. MSIL provides persistent memory, event-driven action, and boundary-enforced agent execution — all configurable to your specific domain logic and operating rules.
The difference between MSIL in a custom build and an off-the-shelf AI tool is that MSIL runs against your specific data structures, your specific decision criteria, and your specific escalation rules. Off-the-shelf AI tools make generalizing assumptions. Custom builds with MSIL don't generalize — they're engineered for your situation.
If your AI use case requires domain-specific decision logic, custom data flows, or operating rules that no off-the-shelf product can accommodate, this is where custom builds and MSIL converge.
