Random Forest
Machine Learning· Intermediate
Definition
An ensemble learning method that builds multiple decision trees on random subsets of training data and features, then aggregates their predictions. Substantially more robust than individual decision trees — random forests reduce overfitting and improve accuracy through diversity.
Enterprise Context
Standard choice for tabular enterprise data tasks: churn prediction, supply chain forecasting, and fraud detection where interpretability and reliability are both required.
